ACIS for Certified Auditing Bodies

The Australian Community Industry Standard (ACIS) is highly recognised and provides best practice standards for support of people with disability and those with acquired injuries. This Standard is periodically reviewed to ensure it represents contemporary expectations for service quality. The latest Standard to be released, ACIS 5.0, includes recommendations from the Disability Royal Commission, the Aged Care Royal Commission, and the NDIS Review.

ACIS 5.0 is Here

Certified Auditing Bodies (CAB's) can now commence ACIA’s self-paced online training and attend one of several virtual training sessions here to complete their training from the period 1 October to 31 December 2024.

The tentative dates are as follows: 12 November 9:30am -12:30pm, 29 November 9:30am -12:30pm, 12 December 9:30am -12:30pm.

Once auditors have completed the training, CAB's will make a self-declaration to Joint Accreditation System of Australia and New Zealand (JASANZ) that they are ready to audit against ACIS 5.0.

Once they have made their self-declaration, they are able to start auditing against the new standards.

Training must be completed, and declarations made by 31 December 2024.
