Frontline Quality Support Award 2024

The Australian Community Industry Alliances (ACIA’s) Frontline Quality Support Award 2024 is awarded yearly at ACIA's AGM to honour the outstanding contributions in healthcare and community services.

This year, our theme centred around the pivotal role of meaningful community engagement in fostering recovery for people who have experienced traumatic injury.

The “Excellence in Community Participation with a Recovery Focus”  recognises the innovative efforts of individuals, teams, and organisations that have successfully integrated recovery-focused practices into their community participation strategies.

Congratulations to Abbie Turner, All About Caring

Dr Johnny Bourke, Abbie Turner
Michelle Lang, Dana Gwinnell, Abbie Turner, Danielle Bennett
"Despite Abbie being new to the disability sector, she engaged with the community seamlessly by providing critical support to a toddler with highly complex clinical needs. Through her dedicated care and support, she enabled the child and the family to participate in community activities such as attending weekly playgroups and shopping, which were previously not possible due to the child's clinical requirements and impact on the family unit. This engagement allowed the family to experience a sense of normalcy and inclusion in community life, fostering a supportive environment for both the child’s development and the family's well-being." Danielle Bennett, All About Caring.
